Vesāli හි බ්‍රාහ්මණයෙකි, අනාගාමියෙකි; Kāraṇapālī ට බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ ප්‍රඥාව ඉතා චතුරව ප්‍රශංසා කර, ඔහුව අනුගාමිකයෙකු බවට පත් කළේය; තවත් අවස්ථාවක Licchavī ජනතාව බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේට අදහස් කළ වස්ත්‍ර ඔහුට එසෙසින්ම ලබා දෙන සේ පොළඹවීය.

A brahmin of Vesāli, a Non-returner, who praised the Buddha’s wisdom so eloquently to Kāraṇapālī that the latter became a follower, and who on another occasion moved the Licchavī to shower him with garments meant for the Buddha.

රජ Brahmadatta ගේ බිසවකි, රාජකීය අශ්ව රැකවලයෙකු සමඟ අනියම් සබඳතාවක ඇති බව හඳුනාගෙන තනතුරෙන් පහ කරන ලදී; ඇගේ කථාව Kuṇāla විසින් කියන ලද එකකි; එකම නාමය Licchavī ජනතාව ඉදිරියේ බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ ප්‍රශංසාව පිළිබඳ සූත්‍රයකටද අයත් වේ.

The wife of King Brahmadatta who was caught in adultery with a royal groom and stripped of her rank, her tale being one told by Kuṇāla; the same name also belongs to a sutta on the Buddha’s praise before the Licchavī.
