婆那婆西·帝须长老的四个称号之一；因他来到舍卫城时，市民争相供养他一千钵斋食与一千件衣物，他悉数转赠僧团，这是他前生曾布施一块布给一位长老所感的果报。

One of the four names given to the elder Vanavāsī Tissa, bestowed because when he came to Sāvatthi the citizens vied to honour him with a thousand alms bowls and a thousand robes, all of which he gave to the Order, a result of his having once given a piece of cloth to an elder in a former life.
