婆那婆西·帝須長老的四個稱號之一；因他來到舍衛城時，市民爭相供養他一千鉢齋食與一千件衣物，他悉數轉贈僧團，這是他前生曾佈施一塊布給一位長老所感的果報。

One of the four names given to the elder Vanavāsī Tissa, bestowed because when he came to Sāvatthi the citizens vied to honour him with a thousand alms bowls and a thousand robes, all of which he gave to the Order, a result of his having once given a piece of cloth to an elder in a former life.
