සාරිපුත්ත හිමියන්ගේ තනිව විවේකයේ රැඳී සිටින පුරුද්ද අගය කරන බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ, පිණ්ඩපාතයේ යෙදෙන අතරතුර භික්ෂූන් තමන්වම නිතර පරීක්ෂා කරමින් දොස් ඉවත් කර ගුණධර්ම වගා කළ යුතු බව උගන්වයි.

The Buddha praises Sāriputta’s habit of solitary retreat and teaches that monks should constantly examine themselves while on the alms round, ridding themselves of faults and cultivating virtue.
