Piliṇḍavaccha
Person仏陀の出現後に効かなくなった呪文を学ぶために教団に入った舎衛城のバラモンで、阿羅漢果を得て、諸天に愛される比丘の中で第一と称えられたが、誰にでも習慣的に賤民と呼びかけることで悪名高かった。
A brahmin of Sāvatthi who entered the Order to learn a spell that had ceased working after the Buddha’s appearance, attained Arahantship, and was declared foremost among monks beloved by devas, though notorious for habitually addressing everyone as an outcaste.
