Person舍卫城的一位婆罗门，因所习咒术在佛陀出世后失灵而随佛出家，证得阿罗汉果，被誉为受诸天爱护第一的比丘，却又以惯称他人为“贱民”而闻名。
A brahmin of Sāvatthi who entered the Order to learn a spell that had ceased working after the Buddha’s appearance, attained Arahantship, and was declared foremost among monks beloved by devas, though notorious for habitually addressing everyone as an outcaste.
