Person舍衛城的一位婆羅門，因所習咒術在佛陀出世後失靈而隨佛出家，證得阿羅漢果，被譽為受諸天愛護第一的比丘，卻又以慣稱他人為「賤民」而聞名。
A brahmin of Sāvatthi who entered the Order to learn a spell that had ceased working after the Buddha’s appearance, attained Arahantship, and was declared foremost among monks beloved by devas, though notorious for habitually addressing everyone as an outcaste.
