Un ascète errant dont l’éloge du Bouddha, surpris et rapporté au Bouddha, fut à l’origine de l’enseignement connu sous le nom de Cūḷahatthipadopama Sutta.

A wanderer whose praise of the Buddha, overheard and reported to the Buddha, occasioned the teaching known as the Cūḷahatthipadopama Sutta.

Un jeune homme pauvre qu’Ānanda ordonna et qui, malgré des doutes répétés sur la vie monastique, se raffermissait chaque fois à la vue du vêtement en lambeaux qu’il gardait comme rappel, devenant finalement arahant.

A poor youth whom Ānanda ordained and who, after repeatedly wavering over monastic life, was steadied each time by the sight of the ragged garment he kept as a reminder, eventually becoming an Arahant.
