ග්‍රන්ථධර භික්ෂුවෙකි; භාවනා ලාභයක් නොමැති නිසා බුදුන් වහන්සේ ‘හිස්හිස Poṭṭhila’ ලෙස උපහාසයෙන් නම් තැබූ ඔහු, තරුණ සාමණේරයෙකු ඉදිරියේ තමන් යටහත් කරගෙන රහත් බවට පත් විය.

A learned monk nicknamed ‘Empty-headed Poṭṭhila’ by the Buddha for lacking meditative attainment, who humbled himself before a young novice and thereby won Arahantship.
