คหบดีแห่งอาปณะผู้ไม่พอใจเมื่อพระพุทธเจ้าทรงเรียกเขาเพียงว่า ‘คหบดี’ ทั้งที่เขาได้สละทรัพย์สมบัติให้บุตรชายไปแล้ว แต่เมื่อได้ทราบว่าการสละที่แท้จริงมีความหมายลึกซึ้งกว่านั้นมาก จึงกลายเป็นสาวก

A householder of Āpaṇa who, after being addressed simply as ‘householder’ by the Buddha and taking offence at having already renounced his wealth to his sons, learned that true renunciation means far more, and became a follower.

A wanderer, probably the same person as the householder Potaliya above, whose conversation with the Buddha ended with him declaring himself a follower.
