Puṇṇovāda Sutta
Sutta『中部』第百四十五経で、スナーパランタ(Sunāparanta)出身のプンナ(Puṇṇa)比丘が欲楽を捨てることについて仏陀の教えを受け、獰猛なスナーパランタの人々の中に住み、多くの在家信者を確立し、後に最終的な解脱を得たと宣言される。
The one hundred and forty-fifth discourse of the Majjhimanikāya, in which the monk Puṇṇa of Sunāparanta receives the Buddha’s teaching on renouncing sensual delight, settles among the fierce people of Sunāparanta, establishes many lay disciples, and is later declared to have attained final liberation.
