නාගදීපයේ බව සිතිය හැකි සිද්ධස්ථානයකි. ජේතවනයේ සිට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ගෙන එන ලද යැයි කියන ගසක් හා සම්බන්ධ වේ. බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ ධාතූන් සියල්ල අවසානයේ බෝධි වෘක්ෂය වෙත එකතු වීමට පෙර, දිවයිනේ ඒවායේ අවසාන විවේක ස්ථානය මෙය වන බව අනාවැකි පළ කර ඇත.

A shrine, probably in Nāgadīpa, associated with a tree said to have been brought from Jetavana to Sri Lanka, and foretold to be the last resting place of all the Buddha’s relics in the island before their final gathering at the Bodhi tree.
