樹神たちが孤立した木ではなく互いに近くに集まって住むよう菩薩に助言され、後に嵐が孤立した木をことごとく根こそぎにする一方、集まって生えていた木々は無事だったという本生譚で、水争いで対立するサキヤ族とコーリヤ族に団結の大切さを示すため仏陀が説いた。

A Jātaka about tree-spirits advised by the Bodhisatta to settle together near one another rather than in solitary trees, after which a storm uproots every isolated tree while those clustered together survive unharmed, told by the Buddha to the feuding Sākiyan and Koliyan clans to demonstrate the value of unity.
