ソーダナとカピラ（後にカピラマッチャという魚に転生した）の母で、娘のターパナーとともに比丘尼となったが、徳ある比丘たちを罵ったため死後地獄に堕ちた人物。

The mother of Sodhana and of Kapila (later reborn as the fish Kapilamaccha), who became a nun along with her daughter Tāpanā but was reborn in hell after they abused virtuous monks.
