소다나와 카필라(훗날 카필라맛차라는 물고기로 환생)의 어머니로, 딸 타파나와 함께 비구니가 되었으나 덕 있는 비구들을 욕한 뒤 죽어서 지옥에 떨어졌다.

The mother of Sodhana and of Kapila (later reborn as the fish Kapilamaccha), who became a nun along with her daughter Tāpanā but was reborn in hell after they abused virtuous monks.
