海を掘ったと言われる王で、明らかにサーガラ（Sāgara）と同一人物である。怒りに任せて大地を深く掘り、そこが海を湛えるようになったため、海はサーガラの名を得た。

A king said to have dug the ocean, evidently the same figure as Sāgara, whose anger led him to excavate the earth so deeply that it came to hold the sea, from which the ocean takes the name Sāgara.
