바다를 팠다고 전해지는 왕으로, 분노로 인해 땅을 깊이 파서 바닷물을 담게 되었다는 사가라(Sāgara)와 명백히 동일 인물이며, 바다는 이 때문에 사가라라는 이름을 얻었다.

A king said to have dug the ocean, evidently the same figure as Sāgara, whose anger led him to excavate the earth so deeply that it came to hold the sea, from which the ocean takes the name Sāgara.
