據說曾開鑿海洋的一位國王，顯然即薩伽羅（Sāgara），他因憤怒而挖掘大地，使大地懷抱海水，海洋因此得名薩伽羅（Sāgara）。

A king said to have dug the ocean, evidently the same figure as Sāgara, whose anger led him to excavate the earth so deeply that it came to hold the sea, from which the ocean takes the name Sāgara.
