The second discourse of the Dīgha Nikāya, in which King Ajātasattu visits the Buddha at Jīvaka’s mango grove and asks about the visible fruits of the recluse’s life, prompting the Buddha to describe the graduated path culminating in the sixfold higher knowledge of an Arahant.
