A city built by the third son of King Apacara of the Mahāsammata dynasty.

A town in Lāḷa from which Vijaya and his followers set out for Sri Lanka; it was founded by Sīhabāhu, who became its first king, and was later the birthplace of Tilokasundarī, consort of Vijayabāhu I.
