एक जातक कथा जिसमें एक सिंह (बोधिसत्व), जिसने संयमवश एक जंगली सूअर को पहले छोड़ दिया था, उससे युद्ध करने को राज़ी होता है, परंतु जब उसके परिजनों द्वारा चेताया गया सूअर बदबूदार गंदगी में लिपटकर आता है तो सिंह बिना चोट खाए ही युद्ध से पीछे हट जाता है
