ගිජ්ඣකූට කන්ද මුදුනේ ඇති ගුහාවකි, එහිදී බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ දීඝනඛට දේශනාවක් දේශනා කළ අතර, එම දේශනාව අතරතුර සැරියුත් මහරහතන් වහන්සේ රහත් බවට පත් විය. මෙම ගුහාව වල් ඌරෙකු කැනීමෙන් හා වර්ෂාවෙන් හෙළිදරව් වූ බවත්, පසුව වන වාසියෙකු විසින් සකසා බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේට පිරිනමන ලද බවත් කියැවේ.

A cave on the slope of Gijjhakūṭa where the Buddha taught the discourse to Dīghanakha during which Sāriputta attained Arahantship, said to have been uncovered by a boar’s digging and rain, then furnished by a forest dweller and given to the Buddha.
