Saṃvara Jātaka
Jātaka一则本生故事,讲一位国王最年幼的王子,在师父教导下深得民心,父王驾崩后被拥立为王,又以分家产化解众兄长的不满、赢得他们的拥戴,此事讲给一位放弃修行精进的比丘听,那位王子被认作是这位比丘,一位兄长则被认作舍利弗。
A Jātaka about the youngest of a king’s hundred sons who, guided by his teacher’s counsel, wins the people’s affection and is made king after his father’s death, then defuses his elder brothers’ resentment by dividing the inheritance among them, told to a monk who had abandoned his practice, with the prince identified with that monk and one brother with Sāriputta.
