一則本生故事，講一位國王最年幼的王子，在師父教導下深得民心，父王駕崩後被擁立為王，又以分家產化解眾兄長的不滿、贏得他們的擁戴，此事講給一位放棄修行精進的比丘聽，那位王子被認作是這位比丘，一位兄長則被認作舍利弗。

A Jātaka about the youngest of a king’s hundred sons who, guided by his teacher’s counsel, wins the people’s affection and is made king after his father’s death, then defuses his elder brothers’ resentment by dividing the inheritance among them, told to a monk who had abandoned his practice, with the prince identified with that monk and one brother with Sāriputta.
