苦行者に誘惑された貴族の娘から野外で生まれた、著名な論客の遊行者で、後に仏陀の教団に入り阿羅漢となった。

A wanderer and famed dialectician, born in the open to a nobleman’s daughter seduced by an ascetic, who later joined the Buddha’s Order and became an Arahant.

ニャーティカでヴァッチャゴッタと、仏陀の死後の存在などをめぐる記録された議論を交わした遊行者で、サビヤ（2）と同一人物である可能性がある。

A wanderer, possibly identical with Sabhiya (2), who held a recorded discussion with Vacchagotta at Ñātika on questions such as the Buddha’s existence after death.
