마라가 큰 소리로 사밋디 장로를 놀라게 하려다 실패한 이야기를 담은 경으로, 이후 부처님이 그 원인을 설명하셨고 사밋디는 마라에게 최선을 다해 해보라고 대담하게 도전하였다
