මුහුද හිස් වේ යැයි බියෙන් ජලය අධික ලෙස පානය නොකරන ලෙස මසුන් හා පක්ෂීන්ට අනතුරු අඟවන ලෝභී ජල-කපුටෙකු බියගන්වා දුරු කිරීමට භයානක රුවක් ගන්නා මුහුදු දෙවියෙකු වූ බෝධිසත්ත්වයා ගැන ජාතක කතාවකි — කපුටා ලෙස හඳුනාගත් උපනන්ද ශාක්‍ය තුමාගේ මහත් ලෝභය සම්බන්ධයෙන් කියැවේ.

A Jātaka about a sea-spirit, the Bodhisatta, who assumes a terrifying shape to frighten off a greedy water-crow warning fish and birds not to drink too much lest they empty the sea — told with reference to the great greed of Upananda the Sakyan, identified with the crow.
