一则本生故事，讲一头母牛的小牛与母狮的幼狮结为形影不离的玩伴，一只贪食的豺狼却设法与二者结交，挑拨离间致使两小兽反目相残而死，此故事讲给素好搬弄是非的六群比丘，以此警诫勿背后中伤他人。

A Jātaka about a cow’s calf and a lioness’s cub who grow up as inseparable playmates until a scheming jackal, hoping for food, befriends them and turns them against each other, leading to both animals’ deaths, told as a warning to the group of six troublesome monks against the habit of back-biting.
