一則本生故事，講一頭母牛的小牛與母獅的幼獅結為形影不離的玩伴，一隻貪食的豺狼卻設法與二者結交，挑撥離間致使兩小獸反目相殘而死，此故事講給素好搬弄是非的六群比丘，以此警誡勿背後中傷他人。

A Jātaka about a cow’s calf and a lioness’s cub who grow up as inseparable playmates until a scheming jackal, hoping for food, befriends them and turns them against each other, leading to both animals’ deaths, told as a warning to the group of six troublesome monks against the habit of back-biting.
