Jātaka斎日に乞食に施すものが何もないため、自らの体を食物として捧げる決意をし、その徳を試そうとする帝釈天が冷たくした火の中へ飛び込んだ、菩薩であるウサギのジャータカ
A Jātaka about a hare, the Bodhisatta, who, having nothing else to offer a beggar on a fast day, resolves to give his own body as food and leaps into a fire that Sakka, testing his virtue, causes to remain cool.
