스리랑카의 세나 1세 왕. 아가보디 9세의 동생이자 후계자. 침입한 판두 왕에게 영토를 빼앗겼으나 조약으로 왕위를 되찾았고, 재위 중 많은 사원을 건립했다. 실라메가라고도 불린다.

King Sena I of Sri Lanka, younger brother and successor of Aggabodhi IX, who lost ground to an invading Paṇḍu king before regaining his throne by treaty, and who built numerous monasteries during his reign, also known as Silāmegha.

A general (senāpati) under kings Mahinda IV and Sena V who, after his brother’s murder on the king’s orders, marched against Sena V, forcing him to flee, before the two later made peace and the king married his daughter.

스리랑카의 세나 5세 왕. 마힌다 4세와 칼링가 공주 사이의 아들. 열두 살에 즉위했고, 자신과 이름이 같은 장군으로부터 도망쳐야 했으나 후에 화해했으며, 과음으로 사망했다.

King Sena V of Sri Lanka, son of Mahinda IV by a Kāliṅga princess, who came to the throne at age twelve, was forced to flee his own general of the same name before making peace with him, and died of excessive drinking.

A Damiḷa usurper who, together with his fellow horse-dealer Guttika, seized the throne of Anurādhapura after defeating King Sūratissa and ruled for twenty-two years before being overthrown by Asela.

장로 부타가 싯닷타 부처님 시대에 지녔던 이름으로, 당시 바라문으로서 부처님을 찬탄하는 네 편의 게송을 읊었다.

The name borne by the elder Bhūta in the time of the Buddha Siddhattha, when as a brahmin he uttered four stanzas in the Buddha’s praise.
