贅沢な生活を捨ててソーナカ長老のもとで出家したパータリプッタの大臣の息子で、長年の忍耐強い努力の末、未来の長老モッガリプッタ・ティッサを改心させ出家させた。

A minister’s son of Pāṭaliputta who renounced a life of luxury to join the Order under the elder Soṇaka, and who, after years of patient effort, converted and ordained the future elder Moggaliputta Tissa.
