(서기 362–409년) 마하세나의 아들인 스리랑카 왕으로, 부왕이 훼손한 사원들을 복구하고 마힌다를 금상으로 기렸으며, 붓다의 불치성물을 받아 매년 축제와 함께 봉안하였다.

King of Sri Lanka (362–409 CE), son of Mahāsena, who restored the monasteries his father had damaged, honoured Mahinda with a golden image, and received the Buddha’s Tooth Relic, enshrining it with an annual festival.
