Kāsi 一位商隊領袖之子，十五歲時因絕食抗爭獲父母首肯，隨 Dāsaka 尊者出家，後證阿羅漢果並領眾千人；Siggava 與 Caṇḍavajjī 二人目睹他入定不語，深受觸動而隨其出家。

The son of a caravan leader of Kāsi who, at fifteen, entered the Order under Dāsaka Thera after fasting until his parents relented, became an Arahant leading a thousand monks, and later ordained Siggava and Caṇḍavajjī after they observed his silent meditative trance.
