ชาดกเรื่องพี่น้องโสณะ พระโพธิสัตว์ กับนันทะ บุตรพราหมณ์แห่งพาราณสีผู้บวชร่วมกับบิดามารดา ความสัมพันธ์ถูกทดสอบเมื่อโสณะขับไล่นันทะออกไปเพราะนำผลไม้ดิบมา แต่ต่อมาก็ให้อภัยเมื่อนันทะได้อำนาจใหญ่จากการช่วยพระเจ้ามโนชะพิชิตแว่นแคว้นต่างๆ

A Jātaka about the brothers Soṇa, the Bodhisatta, and Nanda, sons of a Bārāṇasī brahmin who became ascetics with their parents, and whose bond was tested when Soṇa banished Nanda for bringing unripe fruit, only to forgive him after Nanda gained great power helping King Manoja conquer many kingdoms.
