The son of a very poor woman of Sāvatthi, born in a cemetery after his mother died in childbirth and raised by a watchman; he met the Buddha at age seven and, given loving-kindness as his meditation subject, soon attained Arahantship.

အမည်ခေါ်တူသော ကလေးတစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ၎င်း၏ဦးလေးက သင်္ချိုင်းကွင်းရှိ အလောင်းတစ်ခုနှင့် ချည်နှောင်ကာ ခွေးအများ ကိုက်စားစေခဲ့သည်။ ဗုဒ္ဓ၏တန်ခိုးတော်က ချည်နှောင်ချက်များကို ဖြေလွှတ်ပေးကာ ရှင်ကို ဉာဏ်ဖွင့်စေခဲ့ပြီး၊ ထို့နောက် ဝမ်းနည်းနေသော မိခင်သည်လည်း သောတာပန်ဖြစ်လာခဲ့သည်။

A child, also known by the same nickname, whose uncle bound him to a corpse in a charnel field to be devoured by jackals; the Buddha’s power broke his bonds and brought him to enlightenment, after which his grieving mother also became a Stream-winner.
