ป่าแห่งหนึ่งในอุกกัฏฐา ได้ชื่อนี้เพราะความงดงาม เป็นที่ซึ่งพระพุทธเจ้าทรงแสดงมูลปริยายสูตรใต้ต้นสาละ และจากที่นี่เองพระองค์เสด็จไปเยือนทั้งเทพชั้นอวิหาและพกาพรหม

A wood in Ukkaṭṭhā, so named for its beauty, where the Buddha taught the Mūlapariyāya Sutta under a sāla tree and from which he visited both the Avihā gods and Baka Brahmā.
