一部經，波斯匿王之妹向佛陀請問：兩位在信、戒、慧上相等的弟子，若一位樂善好施、一位不然，其果報是否有別，佛陀答以佈施者在壽命、美貌、快樂、榮譽與權勢上皆勝過對方，直至雙方證得阿羅漢果方無差別。

A discourse in which Pasenadi’s sister asks the Buddha whether a generous and a stingy disciple, otherwise equal in faith and virtue, differ in their outcomes, and he explains that the giver surpasses the other in life span, beauty, happiness, honour and power until both attain Arahantship.
