A Pacceka Buddha who died in great pain after a skilled stone-thrower pierced his ear with a pebble while he was begging for alms, an incident also connected with the son of King Kitavassa of Bārāṇasī treating him with contempt.

그의 가르침으로 많은 제자들이 범천계에 다시 태어난 고대의 스승이었으나, 그 자신의 고도로 계발된 자애조차 그를 생사로부터 해방시키지 못했다는 이야기가 『수네타경』에도 전해진다.
