Person娘が見捨てられたことと息子デーヴァダッタのブッダへの敵意に苦悩し、頑なにブッダの道を塞いだ末に大地に呑まれた、釈迦族の王子でブッダの岳父。
A Sakyan prince and the Buddha’s father-in-law, who, embittered over his daughter’s abandonment and his son Devadatta’s hostility toward the Buddha, was swallowed up by the earth after obstinately blocking the Buddha’s path.
