  • දියණිය අත්හැරීම හා පුත් දේවදත්ත බුදුන් වහන්සේට සතුරු වීම ගැන කෝපයට පත් වූ, බුදුන් වහන්සේගේ මාමණ්ඩිය වූ ශාක්‍ය කුමාරයෙක්; බුදුන් වහන්සේගේ මාර්ගය දිගින් දිගටම වැළැක්වූ පසු පොළොවෙන් ගිලී ගියේය.

  • A Sakyan prince and the Buddha’s father-in-law, who, embittered over his daughter’s abandonment and his son Devadatta’s hostility toward the Buddha, was swallowed up by the earth after obstinately blocking the Buddha’s path.
