帝釈天として生まれ変わった父から願いを叶える魔法の杯を受け取った浪費家の商人の息子が、酔って杯を割ってしまい貧困に戻るという本生譚で、アナータピンディカの放蕩な甥にちなんで説かれた。

A birth story about a spendthrift merchant’s son who, having received a magic wishing cup from his father reborn as Sakka, smashes it in a drunken fit and returns to poverty, told in reference to a wastrel nephew of Anāthapiṇḍika.
