Takkāriya Jātaka
Jātaka一则本生故事,讲述一位祭司借城门落成之祭企图借机除掉与其妻私通的同肤色婆罗门,事泄后经智慧弟子以“沉默是金”之理开导而幸免一死,讲述背景与比丘 Kokālika 诽谤两大上首弟子招致恶果有关。
A birth-story about a chaplain who plots to have his wife’s lover, a fellow tawny-brown brahmin, sacrificed under cover of a city-gate ceremony, but is spared execution himself by his wise pupil’s counsel that silence is golden, told in reference to the monk Kokālika’s ruinous slander of the Chief Disciples.
