Takkāriya Jātaka
Jātaka一則本生故事,講述一位祭司借城門落成之祭企圖藉機除掉與其妻私通的同膚色婆羅門,事洩後經智慧弟子以「沉默是金」之理開導而倖免一死,講述背景與比丘 Kokālika 誹謗兩大上首弟子招致惡果有關。
A birth-story about a chaplain who plots to have his wife’s lover, a fellow tawny-brown brahmin, sacrificed under cover of a city-gate ceremony, but is spared execution himself by his wise pupil’s counsel that silence is golden, told in reference to the monk Kokālika’s ruinous slander of the Chief Disciples.
