พระเถระผู้หลบหนีเข้าป่าหลังก่อกรรมชั่วบางอย่าง แล้วมาพบต้นโพธิ์ของพระปิยทัสสีพุทธเจ้า จึงกวาดพื้นรอบต้นโพธิ์และโปรยดอกไม้บูชา สันนิษฐานว่าเป็นองค์เดียวกับพระวนวัจฉเถระ

An elder who, having fled into the forest after committing some crime, came upon the Bodhi tree of Piyadassī Buddha, swept the ground around it, and scattered flowers; he is probably identical with the elder Vanavaccha.
