Thūṇa
Person맛지마데사 서쪽 끝의 바라문 마을. 적대적인 마을 사람들은 방문한 부처님께 물과 환대를 거부하려 했으나, 물을 드린 노예 여인이 처형되었음에도 도리천에 태어났고, 부처님의 신통력으로 마을 우물이 넘쳐흘러 마을 사람들이 결국 굴복했다.
A brahmin village on the western edge of Majjhimadesa whose hostile inhabitants tried to deny the visiting Buddha water and hospitality, until a slave woman who offered him a drink, though killed for it, was reborn in Tāvatiṃsa, and the Buddha’s power caused the village wells to overflow until the people relented.
