Person位於中國（Majjhimadesa）西境的一處婆羅門村落，村民因心懷敵意而企圖斷絕造訪的佛陀的飲水與接待，一名給佛陀水喝而被處死的婢女卻因此轉生忉利天，佛陀更以神通令井水氾濫，村民這才悔悟接納。
A brahmin village on the western edge of Majjhimadesa whose hostile inhabitants tried to deny the visiting Buddha water and hospitality, until a slave woman who offered him a drink, though killed for it, was reborn in Tāvatiṃsa, and the Buddha’s power caused the village wells to overflow until the people relented.
