サッダー・ティッサの次男。父王の死後スリランカ王として即位したが、一か月余りで兄ランジャティッサに廃位された。その短い治世の間にカンダラ僧院とシリーサマーラカの塔を建立した。

The second son of Saddhā Tissa, crowned king of Sri Lanka on his father’s death but overthrown after little more than a month by his elder brother Lañjatissa, during whose brief reign he built the Kandara monastery and a shrine on Sirīsamālaka.
