一則本生故事，講一位老師預見自己的王族弟子日後將遭親生兒子謀害，遂教他四首偈頌，囑其在關鍵時刻誦唸以自保，數十年後這位已登基為王的弟子果然因兒子密謀弒父而險遭不測，卻靠這些偈頌逃過一劫，此事與頻婆娑羅王明知預言其子將弒父仍深愛阿闍世王有關。

A Jātaka about a teacher who foresees that his royal student will one day face a mortal threat from his own son and equips him with four protective verses to recite at critical moments, verses that indeed save the king’s life decades later, told in connection with King Bimbisāra’s continued love for Ajātasattu despite a prophecy that his son would kill him.
