သုခနှင့်ဒုက္ခ၏ မူလအစကို ဆွေးနွေးရန် သာဝတ္ထိတွင် ဘုရားရှင်ထံ ဝင်ရောက်လာသော ပရိဗိုဇ်တစ်ဦးဖြစ်ပြီး၊ သင်္ခတဓမ္မအားလုံး၏ အခြေခံမှာ အဝိဇ္ဇာဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရှိပြီးနောက် ဘုရားရှင်၏ တပည့်တော်ဖြစ်လာသည်ဟု ဆိုသည်။

A wanderer who visited the Buddha at Sāvatthi to discuss the origin of pleasure and pain, and, on learning that ignorance underlies all conditioned existence, is said to have become a follower of the Buddha.
